Arriving in Quito


Ecuador welcomes people from all over the world who wish to visit for a short period of time or to establish permanent residency. If you come to Ecuador as a tourist or on a business trip, you do not need a visa for a stay up to 90 days on a 12 month-period (chronological year), unless you are a citizen (passport holder) from one of the following countries:

Mariscal Sucre Airport



The airport is located 20.5 km as the crow flies from the city of Quito and is currently accessed by three roads in excellent condition which allow free-flowing traffic between the airport and the city. The airport is located in the Tababela Valley, a place which enjoys a very pleasant climate where the temperature ranges from 6 to 26oC and it does not rain frequently.  The airport is 30 minutes to Colegio Menor and 45-60 minutes to the city of Quito.


The airport has ATMs, currency exchange bureaus, post office, VIP lounges, public telephones, mobile phone service, internet kiosk and free Wi-Fi access





(Tel +593 (2) 604 3500) provides direct transport from the city to the airport around the clock every 30-60 minutes. Average journey time is 57 min.

Buy online on the Aeroservicios website: (payments with international credit cards only), or directly at the Aeroservicios terminal (old airport) or at the counters located at the at the Arrivals Hall of Mariscal Sucre International Airport, with any credit or debit card or in cash.



quitotaxiOfficial airport operators are Cooperativa de Taxis Aeropuerto Mariscal Sucre and Univalle, with vehicles available 24 hours a day outside the terminal.
